KERSIN GREN~

What I like about this work is the simplicity of form, color and pattern...perfect
circles, straight sides, horizontal and vertical lines and patterns, and
one group of colors...warm colors in this case
Kerstin throws most of her work...this work in particular....and decorates it
with natural pigments she has dug from the earth.  She smoke fires and raku fires this work, but also wood fires other pieces.

Kerstin has been making pots for over 35 years and was educated in
her native Sweden. In Sweden there are 'Folkhögskola', schools for adults
who want to change career later in life and a number of free schools. 
Before moving to Aberdeenshire, Scotland she taught 20 years of evening
and Art school classes in Sweden.
